MV LIEKUT arrives in Australia

SeaRoad’s new charter vessel MV LIEKUT arrived ahead of schedule this morning at Station Pier, Melbourne at 8.30am.

Executive Chairman of SeaRoad, Chas Kelly, said the ship had a smooth sailing from Cape Town to Melbourne during the 16-night voyage.

“We’re very happy to finally have MV LIEKUT in Australian waters and we look forward to preparing the vessel for her arrival to Devonport,” said Mr Kelly.

MV LIEKUT will be docked at Station Pier for the next few days for deep cleaning, COVID checks, operational checks and a flag change. The vessel will then move onto Webb Dock in Melbourne to prepare for the ship’s first arrival to Devonport over the Easter weekend, which will be a noncommercial sailing.

MV LIEKUT’s first commercial voyage will depart Devonport on 5 April (Easter Monday).
