It’s 12 months since Searoad Mersey II entered Bass Strait service between Devonport and Melbourne. In that time we’ve completed 285 voyages and carried more than
and one or two unusual things, such as bridge beams fabricated in Tasmania for use on the mainland.
We’ve shipped in mail, groceries, hardware, food and beverages, electrical and white goods, furniture, building products and so much more - every kind of product needed to keep Tasmanians supplied.
And we’ve shipped out timber and bricks, manufactured goods, seafood, fruit, vegetables and other farm produce as we help meet demand for Tasmania’s best on the mainland and throughout the world.
We’d like to thank our crews at sea and our staff on land for their commitment, service and professionalism. And we’d especially like to thank our customers for their support of a home-grown Tasmanian enterprise.
We’re proud and we’re sure you are too! Here’s cheers to the blue ship, Searoad Mersey II, and many more voyages ahead!
