Bass Strait shipping operations are an essential domestic service catering to the Tasmanian population and economy.
SeaRoad Shipping services include the transportation of containers, trailers, reefers (refrigerated units), cars and non-containerised freight on its two RoRo vessels, Searoad Tamar and Searoad Mersey II. It also facilitates land transport services for shipping customers either through SeaRoad Logistics or other providers.
SeaRoad's shipping service provides twelve overnight voyages a week (Monday to Saturday) between the Australian mainland and Tasmania. During exceptional demand peaks, an additional sailing on a Sunday is occasionally undertaken.
